Snacking is good but healthy snacking is even better…!

Despite the fact that there is a large number of ready-made snacks are available everywhere. But it’s good to eat homemade, clean and healthy snacks which are also good for your health. In your busy routine it is surely impossible to spare a time to make any snacks but here I tell you some easy, quick and delightful snacks to make by yourself and eat. Try these snacks you will love it.

1. Parmesan Squash Chips

This recipe is so quick and easy, even your kids can make it. Parmesan squash chips are low crab snack and appetizer and can make in 5 minutes or less. This snack has a delicious taste and perfectly fulfill your snack need.

  • Yellow Squash: 5 (cut in the round)
  • Parmesan Cheese: 1 cup (grated)
  • Garlic: 2-inch piece (grated)
  • Salt: 1 table spoon
  • Black pepper: ½ table spoon
  • Olive oil: ¼ cup


Cut squash in the round (1/7-inch-thick pieces). Mix Olive oil, salt black pepper and shredded garlic in a bowl. Toss round cut the squash in this mixture. Leave for 10 minutes. Spread butter sheet or foil in a baking tray. Spread marinated squash round cut pieces on tray. Sprinkle parmesan cheese on it. Bake in pre-heated oven for 10 to 15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with any dip.

2. Baked Bell Pepper Rings

Just like onion rings, you can also make bell pepper ring. You normally fry onion rings but I am going to bake bell pepper rings as health come first, always. You can use any color of bell pepper i.e red, green or yellow. Take a look at how can you make this yummy snack.

  • Bell Pepper: 3 (cut in the round and removed seeds)
  • Flour: 1 ½ cup
  • Egg: 3 (beaten well)
  • Bread crumbs: 2 cups
  • Salt: ½ tablespoon
  • White pepper: ¼ tablespoon
  • Black Pepper: ¼ Tablespoon
  • Garlic Powder: ½ tablespoon
  • Oil: for baking


Cut bell pepper in rings (1/7” thick, remove seeds). Take a bowl mix bread crumbs, salt, white pepper, garlic powder and black pepper. Take another ball beat egg perfectly in it. Take bell pepper ring, dip in beaten egg then coat in bread crumbs mixture. Do this procedure 3 times with every bell pepper ring. Grease baking tray with oil and put these coated ring on it. Bake in pre-heated oven for 10 minutes. Sprinkle fresh coriander on it and serve with ketchup.

3. Apple Cinnamon Smoothies

Shakes and smoothies are also the best options for time pass snack and they are also healthy. We all know apple is a healthy fruit and have so many nutrients that good for yourself. You can make simple apple shake in skim milk or make this thick apple cinnamon smoothie.

  • Apple: 2 (cut in small dice)
  • Milk: ½ ltr
  • Sugar: 3 tablespoon
  • Cinnamon: ½ tablespoon


Wash the apples perfectly. Cut them in dice. Put apple dices, milk, sugar and cinnamon in the blender. Blend until mixture becomes thick, smooth and creamy. Take out this smooth cream in glass or bowl. Serve with ice-cream.

4. Cucumber Tuna Salad Bites

A salad is my favorite every time snack. You don’t need to do preparation before making the salad. You only need the knife and cut every vegetable or fruit that is available in your kitchen or you can also add beans to it. Here I tell you delicious and little bit different recipe of cucumber tuna salad. Have a look.

  • Cucumber: 2 (cut in round, ¼ inch thick)
  • Tuna fish: ½ kg (minced)
  • Onion: 1 (chopped)
  • Tomato: 2 (chopped)
  • Celery: 2 teaspoons (chopped perfectly)
  • Mint: for garnish and taste
  • Mayo: ¼ can
  • Lemon Juice: 2 tablespoon
  • Black Pepper: ¼ tablespoon
  • Salt: ½ teaspoon


Combine tuna, onion, tomato, celery, mayo, lemon juice, black pepper and salt in a bowl. Mix well. Take a cucumber round cut piece, spread mayo paste on each cumber piece. Garnish with mint and serve.

5. Roasted Sweet Potato Bites

Perfect substitute of potato chips or any other side dish for lunch and dinner. You can also mix it with other vegetables to make it more rich, healthy and colorful.

  • Sweet Potato: 1 cup (peeled, cut in the cube)
  • Thyme: 1 table spoon (chopped)
  • Black Pepper: to taste
  • Salt: to taste
  • Olive oil: 1 tablespoon


Wash, peel and cut sweet potato in cubes. Place sweet potato cubes in the bowl. Add olive oil and toss well, until every cube coated well with oil. Spread foil on the baking tray. Spread greased sweet potato cube on foil and place it on the baking tray. Sprinkle salt, black pepper and thyme on it, Place the tray in the preheated oven for 20 minutes until sweet potato is softened. Serve and enjoy.

6. Avocado Crackers

Not many people know about avocado or I think people don’t like to eat it much. But you can eat avocado as a snack or add avocado in any snack recipe as it is healthy food and good for us. If you want to eat but don’t know how? I will give you a way to eat it.

  • Avocado: 2 (peel, make a mixture by ground it in the grinder with little water)
  • Your favorite multigrain crackers: 1 packet
  • Tomato: 2 (small sliced)
  • Black Pepper: to taste
  • Salt: to taste


Layer avocado paste on a wholegrain cracker. Sprinkle salt and water on it. Place 3 or 4 small cubes of tomato on it and enjoy. You must love it.

7. Salsa

And here comes a homemade and easy recipe of salsa. You make it by yourself with fresh veggies and eat right after you make it. It will surely more pleasant to taste.



  • Red beans: 1 cup (perfectly boiled)
  • Corn: 1 cup (cooked)
  • Onion: ½ cup (chopped)
  • Tomato: ½ cup (chopped)
  • Bell pepper: ½ cup (chopped)
  • Vinegar: 1 tablespoon
  • Lemon juice: 3 tablespoon
  • Black pepper: to taste
  • Salt: to taste
  • Olive oil: 1 tablespoon


Combine red beans, corn, onion, tomato, bell pepper, vinegar, lemon juice, black pepper, salt and olive oil. Mix all the things well. Wooops your salsa is ready. Enjoy with your favorite cracker or eat as side food in lunch or dinner.

8. Jam Yoghurt

It’s not always you want to eat some salty in your snack time. Some time you also want to eat some sweet and refreshing. I personally love to eat something sweet in afternoon or in evening. Instead of eat chocolate or any other readymade sweet, try something healthy and make quickly.

  • Jam: 1 tablespoon
  • Yogurt: 1 bowl


Take one bowl of non-fat yogurt and add your favorite jam. I personally like blueberry jam. Mix it well and enjoy.
