Beef round: 1 ½ kg (cut in 1-inch pieces)
Red bell pepper: 1 (cut in cubes)
Green bell pepper: 1 (cut in cubes)
Onion: 1(medium, chopped)
Tomato paste: 4 teaspoon
Garlic: 2 cloves (minced)
Cocoa powder: 4 teaspoon (unsweetened)
Coriander: 1 teaspoon
Cornmeal: 3 teaspoon
Cumin: 1 teaspoon
Oregano: 1 teaspoon
Chili powder: to taste
Salt: to taste
Black pepper: to taste
Vegetable oil: 4 tablespoon
Season the beef with salt and pepper. Place it in the oven that is preheated. Pour 2 teaspoon into it are brown it. Brown it from both sides. Transfer the beef to the plate as it brown.
Add the remaining oil in a pot and place it on medium heat. Add onion, red pepper, green bell pepper, and garlic. Cook it until onions become soft. Stir continuously.
Stir in the cocoa, chili powder, oregano, cumin and coriander. Cook until it gives fragrant.
Add the cornmeal and tomato paste and cook until the tomato paste becomes caramelizes.
Add 5 to 6 cup of water in it. Now add beef and cover the pot. Cook until the beef is tender.
Serve with salsa, lime and brown rice.
