You require a little bit of effort to make them white and shiny. Your nails may also look yellow due to fungus. To keep your nails clean and clear, you have to know about the tricks through which you can clean your nails. The easiest and best way to prevent your nails from this, use a clear base coat before nail polish.

There are some tips for whitens your nails at home and avoid yellowish nails.

Toothpaste

One of the best ways to clean your nails and whiten your nails is rubbing your nails with the toothbrush that has some toothpaste on it. Rub slowly, as teeth and nails made up of the same material, the way toothpaste make whiten your teeth, similarly, toothpaste also makes your nails whiten. Leave the toothpaste on your nails for at least 3 minutes, so it whitens your nails properly. Then rinse your nails with warm water.


Baking soda

Baking soda is known for the so many beauty benefits like it remove blackheads and whiteheads from your face, make your face soft and make your hands and feet beautiful. Other than these benefits you can also use baking soda to whitening the area underneath your nails quickly and naturally. Mix three tablespoons of baking soda with warm water and apply this mixture on your nails and leave for 5 to 10 minutes and then wash it.


Lemon juice

Lemon juice has a very good property of cleaning. It is also called a natural bleaching agent that it can effectively clean off your stains from your nails. Fill a bowl with lemon juice and keep your nails in it for around 20 minutes. Use the soft brush and gently rub your nails with it. After 10 minutes of rubbing wash your hand with lukewarm water and apply lotion on your hand. Do this procedure 2 times in a day for instant result.


Vinegar

In nature, vinegar is acidic and it is useful for removing a yellow stain from your nails. White vinegar is best for this, because if you use colored vinegar they may color your stain according to their own color. Take a cotton piece and soak it with vinegar. Slowly rub your nails with this soaked cotton piece for 10 minutes or you can also take a cup of water and add one tablespoon of vinegar in it, mix it well and soak your nails in it. Both methods may help you to make your nails stain free and whiten.

Orange contains the high amount of vitamin C and orange peel also contain vitamin C in it. Vitamin C will help you to remove yellow stains from your nails. Rub orange peel on your nails at least two to three times daily. Within two or three weeks you can see the effective result. Dry orange peel is also useful for remove yellow stain. Make a powder of dried orange peel and add in water to make the thick paste. Rub this paste with the help of a soft brush on your nails for 10 minutes and wash it with warm water. This procedure shows also a useful result.


Salt

Salt can be useful to buff your nails and make them stain free properly. Rub salt on your nails or soak your nails in salt water for 20 minutes twice in a day for at least four to five weeks. You can also make a mixture of salt and lemon juice. Apply this mixture on your nails, leave for 15 minutes and then rub your nails with brush. Does this daily for three to four weeks till you get the best result.


Bleach

Hydrogen peroxide is a great natural bleaching agent and helps you to remove the stain. Dilute one part of hydrogen peroxide with three part of water and soak your nails in it. After 20 minutes, rub your nail with cotton piece slowly. Do this for 10 days consecutively for a better result. If you want the best result to add baking soda in it before soaking your nails.


Listerine

Listerine is another powerful treatment for stained nails caused by parasitic contaminations. It contains dynamic fixings like menthol, eucalyptol, methyl salicylate and thymol. These elements contain antifungal properties. Soak the infected or fungus containing nail in pure Listerine for at least 20 to 30 minutes every day. After a week, break this routine for 1 week and see the difference. Your nails become white and shiny. You can also add an equal amount of vinegar to it. It gives you the equally rapid result.


Nail Whitener

Nail whitener is available almost every cosmetic shop. If you have a very short time like about two to three hours to whiten your nails then apply nail whitener on your nails. The best option is not applied on all over of your nails but applies only to the area underneath your nails. It whitens your nails naturally in the shortest time.
