Insightful and helpful. Thanks for sharing your perspective and wisdom. My brother in law is a Recovery Pastor and I’ve always wondered how treatment and healing works. These are some good steps.

My father was an alcoholic so I’ve always been really careful with my liquor intake., One thing I find is a lot of people sub one addiction for another, so I advise getting professional help to get off the sauce if you find it to be a problem in your life

This is such a great topic to expound on. I’ve definitely heard a lot about replacing alcohol with juice, specifically grape juice, and it’s something I’ve known people to be successful with.

Yep. Agree. I havent touched a drop this year. I am so pleased and won’t be turning back! Alcohol free is the way forward. I enjoy my weekends so much more, life has slowed down and that is how it needs to stay! Alcohol is horrible.

I believe quitting any addition strongly depends on your will power and self control. Why would you want something impact you so much that you can’t spare a day without it. I am not an alcoholic however I quit after I got married recently in May 2018 :)

Addiction is a difficult thing. It will take a lot of dedication, determination, and support to stay away from your vise and try to get healthy. Exercise is a great way to take your mind off the desires.

Alcohol can be a very dangerous thing if you aren’t careful. In addition to your suggestions, you must also change how you view alcohol on a subconscious level.
